Rice is economic important crop of Thailand that grows in many parts of the country. Rice account for the first group of goods to be exported. Contamination of rice grain is the most serious problem for exporting that affected the image of the country. Contamination can take place in many steps of production such as seeds before grow, grains during harvesting or husking and intend to mix by the seller.
To detect the contamination by physiological characteristics such as length, width and clearance of rice grain appeared to be very difficult. Because some variety is similar to the others that make the visual detection is not accurate enough. Using chemical characteristics can also detect the different between rice variety such as amylose content and gelatinization temperature but this method requires the other characters to combine for interpretation. Further more,many aromatic Thai rice varieties contain similar range of amylose content.
